Corolea M. Hardin Kaczor, 87, Ava

AVA, NY – Corolea M (Barton) Hardin Kaczor, 87, formerly of Ernst Rd., Ava, NY, passed away July 11, 2018, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, where she has resided since 2008. She was affectionately known to her family and loved ones as “Grandma K” or “Molly.”

She was born on Aug. 9, 1930, in Constable NY to Floyd Henry and Cora L (Fountain) Barton.  Molly was raised in Rome NY where she attended public schools culminating with a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Molly was predeceased by husband George P Hardin in 1964 and by Henry R Kaczor in 1973.

Molly is survived by five daughters; Vernie (Mark) Pritchard, Lee Center, Shannan (Robert) Hoerger, Akron, OH, Robin Horn (Joe Lucido), Floyd NY, Kimberly (Scott) Wagner, Middletown, RI and Michaelle (David) Wielechowski, Constableville; three sons; George Hardin, Dublin GA, James Hardin, Little Valley, NY and Kenneth (Lorna) Hardin. Garden Valley, CA. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren as well as her sister, Jane Ernst of West Leyden.

Molly was predeceased by her daughter Georgeen Pratt, a grandson, TJ Thayer, three brothers, Floyd, Leo and Jack, and a sister, Dorothy.

Molly was fond of hosting and preparing meals for her large family and was well known for her knitting skills. She was also a twenty year participant in the foster parent program raising scores of children.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday followed by a prayer service conducted by Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor of St. Mary’s Church, West Leyden. Interment will be at St Joseph Cemetery, Boonville.
