Debora L. Matulewicz, 55, Lowville

LOWVILLE, NY –   Debora L. Matulewicz, 55, of Cascade Avenue, Lowville, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Iseneker Funeral Home Inc., Lowville, immediately followed by a prayer service. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Born Oct. 30, 1963, in Constableville, N.Y., a daughter of the late Clarence S. and Luella Webster Capron, she attended Adirondack High School and the Howard G. Sackett Educational Center.

Debora worked in Lally Manufacturing, Ethan Allen, Kraft Foods, and most recently she worked as a CNA for Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility for the past 11 years.

On July 22, 2017 she married Walter F. Matulewicz at their camp on the Adams Hill Rd., with Lowville Town Justice William Kiernan officiating.

She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, planting flowers, gardening, cooking, and her dog T.J. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Debora loved her job and was very compassionate with her residents.

Mrs. Matulewicz is survived by her beloved husband, Walter F. Matulewicz;  and three children, Stephanie and Todd Podkowka of Boonville, Justin Beyer of Lowville, and Brittany Beyer also of Lowville;  two sisters, Dianna Sturtevant and Mark of Rome, Brenda and Jim Nellis of Boonville; two grandchildren, Bryce, and Jaedyn; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins;  her mother and father-in-law, John and Clara Matulewicz of Lowville, two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Andrew and Cathy Matulewicz of Penn Yan; Greg Buckingham of Queensbury; Jane and Philip Hills of Croghan.

She was predeceased by a brother Ronald Capron, who died in 2011, and a sister-in-law, Rita Buckingham.
