Denise C. Hamilton, 60, Tampa, FL

TAMPA, FL – Denise Cheryl Hamilton, 60, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Jan. 5, 2021.

Denise was born on June 11, 1960, in Carthage, NY, the daughter of Duane and Aletha Streeter. She received her nursing degree in 1980 from State University of New York at Canton, and practiced as a nurse for over 22 years, starting out as a Newborn Nursery nurse and spending years in Oncology and Hematology.

On June 26, 1982, she married Charles Andrew Hamilton, an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Together, they raised seven children and shared adventures as they moved to Texas, Japan, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Germany, and Arkansas.

Denise was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was hardworking, fearless, generous, and creative. She often enjoyed cooking something delicious, creating beautiful quilts, or caring for her animals. She kept her schedule full with friends and family, traveling, and helping others whether volunteering her time and talent, or just offering sage advice.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Charles, and their large and loving family: son Brooks, his wife Angela, and their children Jonas, Garret, and Lilly; daughter Paige and her daughters Ada and Harper; son Scott; daughter Rachel and her son Alec; son Jerry and his wife Davina; son Nick; and daughter Claire. She is also survived by a number people she loved including her mother Aletha Streeter, siblings Dale, Wendy, Darlene, Shelly, Duane, and Lisa, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Upon her passing, Denise is reunited with her father Duane Streeter, her brother Randy, her son in law Kyle Marks, and her father-in-law Gerard Hamilton.
