ELLISBURG —Â On May 5, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to Torrey Hill Road, in the town of Ellisburg, for a reported personal injury ATV accident.
The operator of the ATV, a 16-year-old male, suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He is currently believed to be in critical condition.
At this time, it appears that no other vehicles were involved and the investigation is ongoing.
Those assisting at the scene included South Jefferson Rescue Squad, Ellisburg Fire, Belleville First Responders and LifeNet.
