Deputies: 28-year-old man injured in gun accident in town of Watson

LOWVILLE, NY —  The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement on Sunday, July 11, 2021:

“On Saturday, July 10, 2021, around 2:45 a.m., Cody Worley, 28, of 4820 73rd St., Lubbock, Texas, was attempting to take apart his Glock 43x 9mm when he accidentally discharges a round through his left hand at 6404 George Hill Road in the town of Watson.

Worley was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and the incident was then passed on to Lewis County deputies.

After investigation, Worley had no pistol permit for New York and was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was released with an appearance ticket in Watson Town Court at a later date.”
