Deputies charge 5 motorists with DWI

Sheila M. Robinson, 27, of 13759 US Route 11, Adams, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 10:01 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at 13169 US Route 11 in the town of Adams with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unsafe lane change. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. Deputies did not provide her BAC. She is summoned to appear in Adams Town Court at a later date.

Cameo L. Bassford, 38, of 423 W. Mullin St., Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 1:46 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at US Route 11 and Anabel Avenue in the town of LeRay with driving while intoxicated. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Deputies did not provide her BAC. She is summoned to appear in LeRay Town Court at a later date.

John M. Hillsamer, 22, of 10112 4th Armored Div. Dr., Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 2:17 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at US Route 11 and County Route 32 in the town of Pamelia with driving while intoxicated and speeding. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Deputies did not provide his BAC. He is summoned to appear in Pamelia Town Court at a later date.

Nicholson, 23, of 973-B Nancy Road, Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 2:31 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at US Route 11 and Anabel Avenue in the town of LeRay with driving while intoxicated and unsafe lane change. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Deputies did not provide his BAC. He is summoned to appear in LeRay Town Court at a later date.

Dashawn W. Russell, 22, of 10514 4th Armored Div. Dr., Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 3:17 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at US Route 11 and Hy Acres Road in the town of Pamelia with driving while intoxicated and speeding. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Deputies did not provide his BAC. He is summoned to appear in Pamelia Town Court at a later date.
