Detectives: Watertown man facing drug possession charges

News release

WATERTOWN, NY —  On 02/04/22, members of the Metro-Jeff Drug Task Force
conducted a drug investigation in the City of Watertown in conjunction
with the NYS Division of Parole.

As a result of this investigation, Daniel L. Rivers (age 31, Watertown, NY) was found to be in possession of 421 individual doses of heroin, approximately 49 grams of methamphetamine, and approximately 23 grams of cocaine. A set of digital scales and $139.00 in US currency were also seized.

Mr. Rivers was subsequently charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third-degree (class B felony).

He was arraigned in the City of Watertown Court by Judge Swartz and was held without bail based on his criminal history.

This is an on-going investigation.
