TUPPER LAKE, NY — On October 18, 2022, State Police continue to investigate a vehicle fire. The vehicle was registered to Ross L. Goodenough, 72, Dexter, NY, who was located deceased in the vehicle.

On October 16, 2022, around 1:00 p.m., New York State Police and Tupper Lake Police Department responded to a vehicle fire in a field off of McCarthy Street in the Village of Tupper Lake. Investigation revealed the vehicle to be a black 2009 GMC Sierra pick-up truck.
Tupper Lake PD and State Police are requesting the public who live in the surrounding areas to check any surveillance camera systems for suspicious activity from Saturday October 15, 2022, 8:30 p.m., to Sunday October 16, 2022, 6:00 a.m.
State Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call SP Ray Brook at 518 897 2000.
