DMV releases redesigned NY Jets and NY Giants license plates

ALBANY, NY —  The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) today announced the release of the redesigned New York Jets and New York Giants custom license plates ahead of the start of the 2023 football season.

Gang Green and Big Blue fans can visit the DMV website today to order National Football League (NFL) plates for passenger and commercial vehicles. These plates complete the NFL series featuring distinct designs for each of New York’s professional football teams. DMV also recently unveiled a redesigned Buffalo Bills custom license plate.

“It is no secret that as a Buffalonian and life-long Bills fan, I am partial to the Bills plate design, but I am thrilled to round out our NFL plate series with equally eye-catching designs for the Jets and Giants,” said DMV Commissioner Mark J.F. Schroeder. “I think Gang Green and Big Blue fans will agree that these plates are worth cheering for. I hope fans take advantage of the opportunity to show their team pride everywhere they drive.”

DMV offers more than 200 custom license plates. They represent branches of the military and veterans, counties and regions of New York State, professions, causes, sports teams and more. Revenues from some of our charitable cause plates support organizations such as the World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship Fund, Cure Childhood Cancer Research Fund, the Environmental Protection Fund and the Life Pass It On Trust Fund. Learn more about all of DMV’s custom license plates.
