WATERTOWN, NY — Donald M. Brimmer, 85, of Watertown passed away Sunday evening, May 12, 2019, at Hospice of Jefferson County.
As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.
Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
Don was born in Watertown on June 14, 1933, son of Howard and Grace Covey Brimmer and he was a graduate of Watertown High School.
After being honorably discharged from the US Air Force, Don began his career at A & P Grocery. He retired when the store closed as meat cutter and butcher, serving the grocery for 40 years.
He enjoyed nature and especially gardening and bird watching.
He is survived by his sister, Lyola B. O’Reilly, Watertown and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, Don was predeceased by his three brothers, Richard, Albert, and Francis Brimmer and his sister, Eva Scovel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601.
