WATERTOWN, NY — Edwin N. Urf, Sr., 71, of Watertown and formerly of Attica, NY, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Brookside Cemetery. There are no calling hours or funeral service.
Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.
Born April 23, 1947, in Batavia, the son of Wallace and June Fisher Urf, he was a 1965 graduate of Attica High School and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 1966.
He married Jean T. Greil on April 4, 1970 in Rock Glen, NY.
He was the parts manager for Goodrich Farm Supply, Alexander. Edwin enjoyed bowling and especially taking his children to their sporting events.
He also coached Pee Wee football for a number of years.
Along with his wife, Jean, Edwin is survived by his three children, Candy M. McVay and husband, Michael, KS, Edwin N. Urf, Jr. and wife, Laticia, Watertown, and Shawn M. Montondo and husband, Jason, Watertown; six grandchildren; two brothers, Wallace Urf and wife, Candy, Pavilion and William Urf, and wife, Kathy, Arcade; three sisters, Judy Mix and husband, Thomas, Tulsa, OK, Patty Kohlhagen and husband, Tom, Arcade, and Linda Strang, Attica; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn M. Urf, two brothers, Charles and Dennis Urf, and two sisters, Lorrie Urf and Betty Jean Urf.
In lieu of flowers, his family wishes donations in his name to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, NY, NY 10018.
