Elizabeth “Betty” Farr, 84, Evans Mills

EVANS MILLS, NY —  Elizabeth Annabelle (Betty) Farr waltzed her way into Heaven on February 14, 2021.

Born in Chaumont on April 24, 1936, in Chaumont, the daughter of the late Clarence Elmer and Grace Fredenburg Lane, she graduated from Lyme Central School.

On March 22, 1955, she married Harold F. Farr of Brownville and helped run the family farm for 44 years. The marriage ended in divorce.

Betty was an interior designer for many years. She loved to dance and could be found on the dance floor most Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. She also liked to play cards and go garage “sailing”.

Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS), Carthage, where she served as Librarian. She was also a member of the Ladies on the Lake, Theresa; Golden Girl card club; Jefferson County Genealogy Society; Evans Mills and Watertown Seniors; and the Black River Fiddlers.

Surviving are three daughters; Donna Fracolli (David), Newman, CA; Zabeth Farr (Mark L.), Denver, CO; and Kathryn Farr, NY; and one son, Thomas Farr (Kathleen), Atlanta, GA.

Also surviving are half-brother, Eli Lane, San Diego, CA; and half-sister, Tammy Lane Couture, Springfield, VA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, William Roger and half-brother, Ricky died before her.

A private burial for immediate family was conducted at Cedar Grove Cemetery,
Chaumont, on April 16, 2021.

Visitation Hours will be held at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, Saturday,
September 18, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 pm, followed by a short Memorial Tribute.
