Ellen A. Hallett, 74, Adams Center

ADAMS CENTER, NY — Ellen A. Hallett, 74, of Wright Street, Adams Center, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Don Rounds American Legion Post #586, Rt 11, Adams.

Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Gary; her son Mark (Teal) Hallett, Adams Center; two daughters Sara Mustizer and Mary Beth (Matt) Ramsey, all of Adams; 7 grandchildren Taylor (Sari) Mustizer, Anthony Mustizer, Whitney (Mike Sboro) Hallett, Cole Hallett, Luke Hallett, Kevin Viscotha and Paige Viscotha; one great grandson, Vincenzo Sboro; three sisters Barbara Marsh, Rochester, Alicia (Leonard) Misczuk, Watertown, Susan (Jay) Warner, Three Mile Bay; a brother James (Noreen) Blair, MA; many nieces and nephews.

She was born March 19, 1944, a daughter to Kent and Betty Northrup Blair.  She was a 1962 graduate from Adams Center School and received a degree in accounting from Central City Business Institute, (CCBI) in Syracuse.

She married Gary Hallett on Sept. 19, 1964.

Ellen was employed over the years for the Girl Scout Council in Watertown, C.N. Snyder in Adams, the Queens farm Store in Adams Center and co-owned and operated Hallett’s Forest Products with her husband.

Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially time with her grandchildren.
