Fall Festival planned for Oct. 8 on Watertown’s Riverwalk

Where: Riverwalk Park, Watertown, NY

When: October 8, 2022, 11 am to 6 pm

What: The Watertown Downtown Business Association, with the Downtown Art Committee is bringing the annual Fall Festival back in 2022 to celebrate local arts in Watertown.

The Fall Festival was a tradition for over 20 years. During that time, the festival slowly declined in participation and attendance. In 2019, the DBA decided to postpone the festival until the fall of 2020 to reimagine and plan an improved festival. Then 2020 & 2021 happened.

Now, we are bringing it back in a big way as the Local Arts Fall Festival in the Veteran’s Memorial Riverwalk Park on Newell St in Downtown.

We plan to fill the park, from Mill St to Arch St, with vendors, food trucks, artists, classic cars, and other entertainments. There will be live artist demonstrations, live music, dance demonstrations, performance art, and we are even inviting actors to come down to perform.

DBA President, Joseph Wessner, “The Fall Festival is back! Our goal is to make this one of the premier festivals in the North Country. There is no reason that Watertown can’t have the top festival in the area.”

And it all happens on October 8, 2022.

The festival will celebrate all the arts; visual, performing, music, food, and creative.

So, come to Downtown for a LAFF! Mr. Wessner says, “We named it the Local Arts Fall Festival to let people know that art can be fun and entertaining. Just wait till you see what we have in store, something for everyone.”
