WATERTOWN, NY —Â Â Peter C. Vaughan II, 21, of 780 Oswego Ave., Apt. 230, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the 200 block of Washington Street with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
His blood alcohol content was 0.18 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.
He was released to military custody and summoned to appear Dec. 20 in City Court.
