Fort Drum man charged with DWI, speeding in Pamelia

WATERTOWN, NY – Tamarcus M. Mitchell, 23, of Washington Loop, Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 2:01 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at US Route 11 and County Route 31 in the town of Pamelia with driving while intoxicated and speeding 71 mph in a 45 mph zone.

His blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law.

He was released to military custody and summoned to appear April 18 in Pamelia Town Court.
