Fort Drum man charged with robbery and assault, Watertown police say

WATERTOWN, NY — The Watertown Police Department is investigating a March 10, 2019, robbery of a 26-year-old Kirk P. Bush who was assaulted and robbed of property consisting of cigarettes, marijuana, and a cell phone.

The crime occurred around 4:20 p.m. behind warehouses in the 700 block of Starbuck Avenue in the city, police said.

Mr. Bush sustained bruising, contusions, and lacerations. He was initially treated at the scene by Guilfoyle Ambulance personnel before he was transported to Samaritan Medical Center.

This morning, detectives arrested Jeffrey Dillon Warner, 21, of 11049 Mount Belvedere Blvd., Fort Drum, NY.

He was charged with felony counts of second-degree robbery and assault.

Mr. Warner was processed at the station and transported to City Court where he was arraigned before the Hon. Eugene Renzi who released Mr. Warner on his own recognizance.

This is an ongoing investigation.
