FORT DRUM, NY – Mountainfest 2018 events kick off with Riverfest in Alexandria Bay on Thursday, June 14, hosted by the Association of the United States Army and Fort Drum’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
The annual event provides soldiers, families and civilian employees the day to enjoy the Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River.
Riverfest activities include a picnic at the Alexandria Bay Village Pavilion.
Participants can walk through the village to the boat tour launch for more dockside activities before taking a one-hour cruise through the Thousand Islands with a stop at Boldt Castle on Heart Island.
