Frances G. Warner, 87, Adams

ADAMS, NY —  Frances G. Warner, 87, a resident at Country View Apartments in Adams, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at the Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

 

Born July 26, 1932, in Maryville, Missouri, daughter of the late Edward and Nellie Sharp Anderson, she graduated from high school in Missouri.

 

Following school Frances met Donald Warner, of Syracuse, while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They married in the State of Washington where he was stationed. Upon his honorable discharge the couple returned to Syracuse where they resided until 1964. The couple then moved to Henderson, NY, where she was a homemaker and raised six children. Once her children were older she attended Laponto’s Beauty School in Watertown. Frances became a hairdresser in the Watertown area and taught at the beauty school for many years. Her marriage to Donald ended in divorce in 1978.

 

Among her survivors are her five children, Janet DeVoy, Henderson, NY, Sherri (Randy) McCarty, Lancaster, PA, Donald Kevin Warner, Adams, David and Gloria Warner, Liverpool, Colleen (Arthur) Walter, SC; 14 grandchildren, Sean, Christopher, Sarah, Emily, Mandy, Mary Ann, Maggie, Matthew, Joseph, Leslie, Elliott, Benjamin, Katie, Joshua; and many great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Besides her parents and nine brothers, a son, Kenneth Scott Warner passed away Oct. 2, 2015, and a daughter-in-law, Deborah A. Lanham-Warner passed away Feb. 16, 2019.

 

Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.

 

The memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
