Frank A. Nevills, 82, Carthage

CARTHAGE, NY — Frank A. Nevills, 82, of 11009 Astafan Drive, Carthage, died peacefully early Saturday, March 20, 2021, at home under the care of his family.

Born June 2, 1938, in Carthage, NY, the son of the late Arthur Frank and Fannie Elsie Wheeler Nevills, he attended the Line School in Champion, NY.

Frank married Shirley St. Louis on July 10, 1960, in Denmark, NY.

He was a milk hauler retiring in 1987.

He is survived by several children; Sherry (Glen) House, Carthage; Tammey Rebb & her companion Ron Breton, Natural Bridge; Stacy (John) Twombly, Carthage; Kandi & Carl Newton, Carthage; several siblings, Nancy (Jim) Parker, Black River; Helen Pierce, Carthage; and Harold Nevills, Indiana; and several grandchildren; Shane (Shena) Rebb, Shawn (Carol) Rebb, Matt (Melissa) Rebb, Corey (Michelle) Twombly, Dakota (Tabitha) Twombly, Alexis Smith, and Bill (Sherry) House.

Frank was predeceased by several siblings, Judy Hutt, David Nevills, Karen Vroman and two son-in-laws, Glen House and John Twombly.

He loved camping, fishing, people watching, lawn work, his family, and his loyal companion, his dog Hunter.

He was a communicant of the Catholic Church.

A private burial will be held by the family in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Copenhagen, New York.

Donations in his memory can be made to a local SPCA.
