EVANS MILLS, NY —Â Gary A. Watson, 65 of Pompano Beach, Florida, and formerly of Evans Mills, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, in Pompano Beach.
Born May 21, 1957, the son to the late Glenn A. and Virginia West Watson. He was a graduated from Indian River High School.
Gary enjoyed spending summers at his family camp on the St. Lawrence River, go-cart racing in his younger years and working on small engines with his dad.
Following graduation, he worked for Bill Guinn’s Auto and eventually he moved to Pompano Beach FL, where he went to work for Flack’s Painting, and would do odd jobs such as carpentry and concrete projects, eventually starting his own small business in Pompano.
Surviving are a sister, Jeanne M. Watson, his furry nephew Grady, 2 aunts, Helen West, Veronica Petranchuk and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Glenn, and Virginia Watson.
Gary was a great friend and will be missed by Tim and Karen Combs, their children who he was like family to, Nick, Trisha, Lee, and John. Also, Pat Flack and his family, Patrick and Jessica, Brian Flack and his family, Cory, and Chad.
He enjoyed helping his family and friends with projects around their homes. He will be missed by all that knew him.
There will be a private service and burial at the convenience of his family.
On October 29, 2022, at 4:00 pm there will be a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Evans Mills. Following mass there will be a gathering to say their goodbyes at the Evans Mills Cemetery followed with a celebration of life.
