George K. Anderson, 31, Dexter

DEXTER, NY — George Kenneth Anderson, 31, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019.

Born Feb. 25, 1987, in Watertown, NY, the son of George and Dianna Anderson, he graduated from General Brown Central School in 2005 and attended Jefferson Community College.

George worked as a machine operator at Jain Industries in Watertown. He was very proud of his work at Jain and the opportunity that was given him.

George loved to fish. He had a natural gift to catch fish and out fish you. On a backpacking trip into the Adirondack wilderness when he was just 10 years old, he was able to catch Brook Trout when more experienced fishermen were skunked.

Such a short time we had our son George and such a short time he had to enjoy his life.  His mother and father loved him so and were very proud to have him as our son.  He will be with us always.

George is survived by his mother Dianna and father, George Michael Anderson, Brownville, NY; a sister, Tawnya Richleau, Antwerp, NY; nieces, Genette and Andrea Richleau; a nephew, Brandon Anderson; aunt and cousin Sharon and Shay Alteri of Brownville, NY, aunts and uncle Nancy Gilligan, Syracuse, NY, Cathy Lutz of Moline, IL, and Thomas Anderson, Eastaboga, AL.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dexter. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. Burial will be held in the spring at Brownville Cemetery.
