BOONVILLE, NY — Gladys M. Martin, 98, of Boonville, NY, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.

Gladys is the widow of Robert Martin. Native of Remsen, NY
Born April 20, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Hazel Thomas Brant, she attended the Remsen local schools.
She moved to Utica where she worked at Ryders Photo Studios for many years.
On Sept. 7, 1941, she was united in marriage to Robert Martin at St. Joseph’s church in Utica. After her husband’s honorable discharge from service in World War II, the couple settled in Utica until they moved to Boonville in 1949.
Gladys was a member of St. Joseph’s church and Alter Rosary Society. She was also a member of XYZ Seniors of Remsen. She also enjoyed doing various crafts.
Gladys is survived by three sons Robert (Ruth) of Largo, FL, Donald (Carol) of Turin, NY, and Kevin of Glens Falls, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Robbie, Russell, Michael, Carrie, Bryan, and Meghan Martin, along with Ashlee, Caroline, Madison, and Ryley.
