WATERTOWN, NY — Hilda B. Cummings, 80, of Washington Street, Watertown, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY.
Born January 24, 1938, in Redwood, NY, the daughter of Purl A. and Inez Symes Babcock, she graduated from Redwood High School in 1956.
She was a self-employed hairdresser and later a clerk at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown for 18 years, retiring in 1986.
She married Charles M. Cummings on Nov. 22, 1972. He died May 20, 2006.
Mrs. Cummings enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include a brother, Donald Babcock, Fremont, CA; a sister, Mary Inglehart, Lady Lake, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
A nephew, Thomas Babcock died before her.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 1015 James Street, Clayton, NY.
Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, NY.
