WATERTOWN, NY — Due to concerns about the coronavirus, Jefferson County Clerk Gizelle J. Meeks has implemented the following policies effective immediately:
ALL customers must have a DMV appointment prior to entering the building.
Customers can call (315) 785-3312 for appointments. Customers who only have
questions, please email your questions to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Services will be limited to essential and/or time-sensitive business only.
These services include:
o Plate Surrenders (DROP OFF ONLY – receipts will be mailed)
o License Renewals expiring within 30 days ONLY!!
o CDL Testing ONLY –
o New Vehicle Registrations
Until further notice, the following in-person services will be suspended:
o All Permit Testing
o Registration Renewals Expiring after April 18, 2020
o Customer needing duplicate titles can go on-line or call 518-486-4714
o Penalty Payments – can be processed online
If mail submission is normally accepted, customer are encouraged to continue to submit in that manner.
