Junior level Girl Scout badge workshop on April 13

CLAYTON, NY – Junior Level Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to earn their Animal Habitats Badge at the “Connect to Animal Habitats” workshop hosted on Saturday, April 13 from 10 am to 3 pm.

The workshop will be co-hosted by Save The River, Thousand Islands Land Trust, and the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center and will be held at the Nature Center located in Wellesley Island State Park. There is no charge for Girl Scouts to participate but pre-registration is required; call the Nature Center at (315) 482-2479 to register.

Girl Scouts will learn about the many threatened and endangered species that call the St. Lawrence River home, talk to wildlife experts, and participate in a stewardship project to help protect animals and their habitat. Scouts should plan to pack a lunch and water bottle, and dress for the weather.

A rain date has been reserved for Sunday, April 14 from 10 am to 3 pm.
