Political Newcomer Announces Candidacy for Lowville Mayor
LOWVILLE, NY —Â Kae Young announces her candidacy for the Village of Lowville as mayor in the upcoming March election.
Ms. Young is confident residents will benefit from her ability to foster community and government partnerships. The pandemic proved how small communities like Lowville pulled together and showed their strength to face unexpected challenges on all levels. She believes it’s time to shift the focus and take the next step to further improve the quality of life, reboot tourism and support businesses to ensure their financial stability and success.
Ms. Young chose to live in Lowville 20 years ago and is active in the community. She recently retired from the Department of the Army, Fort Drum, New York.  Prior to working for the Department of Defense, she began her career as a television reporter and then advanced into news management both in the North Country and Syracuse.
Ms. Young is married with six children and eight grandchildren.
