Kaleb L. Austin,19, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Kaleb L. Austin,19, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019, at his home.

He was born Dec. 23, 1999, in Watertown, NY, a son of James E. and Tenisha Austin.

He is survived by his father James E Austin and partner Bridget DeMarse, his mother Tenisha M. Austin and partner Jonathan Mekeel; five sisters, Haeley, Kiara, Isabelle, Sofia, Melody; a brother, Caden; a fiancee, Virginia Hungerford. He is also survived by his Aunt Danielle (Marty) Brown) Aunts Terry, and Tammy Austin, Robin Alverez and Cameil Kaundart; two grandmothers, Michelle Holder and Taasha Lyndsay; a great-grandmother, Diane Quencer’ and numerous wonderful cousins.

Kaleb was a co founder of KLA Property Management Services with his dad and worked in the kitchen at the Garden Hilton Inn in Watertown. A graduate of Carthage Central High School in 2018 and the Culinary Arts program at BOCES, he was attending Jefferson Community College pursuing a degree in restaurant management.

Kaleb loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed music, photography, writing, fishing and loved to draw.  Kaleb had a genuine loving heart and a soul that inspired those he was around in ways almost unexplainable. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, coworkers and all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his grandfathers Lawrence J. Austin, Edward R. Holder Sr. and Uncle Richard Haven.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown, with Pastor Jeff Smith of First Baptist Church presiding. Following the service a celebration of his life will be held at the Masonic Temple, 240 Washington St., Watertown.
