WATERTOWN. NY — Kathy A. Rasmussen, 57, Watertown, passed away Tuesday evening, March 12, at the Samaritan Medical Center with her family by her side.
There are no services. Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
Kathy is survived by her four children Kathyann Julius, Peter (Andrea) and Randy Rasmussen, all of Watertown, and David (Jackie) Rasmussen, Black River; 8 grandchildren Julia, Ellyit, Jaylynn, Gabriela, Anthony, Alex, Aryah and Tyler; a great-granddaughter Lilly, and a grandson Jaxin, due in May; a brother from Watertown; a sister, Kimberly Toto; and a brother, Timothy Kloek.
She was born Jan. 22, 1962, in Watertown, a daughter to Barbara and Habbo (Dutch) Kloek of Congers, NY.
Kathy married Peter Rasmussen on Sept. 14, 1986.
Kathy was the first NYS female car inspector, opening an auto repair shop with her husband. Peter and Kathy enjoyed fixing cars together.
Peter predeceased her on December 10, 2015. Her parents also predeceased her.
Kathy enjoyed cooking, camping and most of all spending time with all of her grandchildren, especially her great granddaughter Lilly.
Kathy was a very loving and caring mom to many. She was known for her honesty and boldness to everyone and was proud of who she was. She was never afraid to fight and defend her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
