WATERTOWN, NY — Aidan C. Downs, 19, of 19265 Caird Rd., Adams Center, was charged by Watertown police at 7:11 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Kinney Drugs, 1304 Washington St. with petit larceny.
Mr. Downs is accused of stealing a total of 41 scratch off lottery tickets having a total value of $526 while working as a cashier at Kinney Drugs, according to court documents. Police allege he removed the tickets from the store’s lottery display case, folded them, and placed them in his pocket without attempting to pay on Feb. 28, March 2, March 7, March 9 and March 14.
He is summoned to appear April 3 in City Court.
