Lewis County: 45 active cases

LOWVILLE, NY —  As of today, there have been a total of 189 cases of COVID-19 in the county. 7 of the additional cases are in isolation at home and 1 is hospitalized.

There are 69 cases associated with the religious gathering cluster.

With each confirmed case of COVID-19, Public Health staff investigate and identify close contacts and exposure risk. Those persons who have been in contact with the positive cases will be placed in quarantine and will be monitored for symptoms and tested.

Recommendations for the use of isolation and quarantine are an important component of a multi-layered strategy to prevent sustained spread of COVID-19 in New York State.

To date, Lewis County Public Health reports the following number of quarantines, isolations, tests and results for COVID-19 testing and monitoring in Lewis County NY:
