COPENHAGEN, NY — On April 22, 2023, at around 4:21 a.m., the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office investigated a serious injury UTV crash that occurred on the Cronk Road in the town of Pinckney.
A 2020 Can-am Maverick was traveling north bound on the Cronk Road, when it failed to negotiate a turn, rolling several times before striking a tree.
Angelo Curto, 25, New Jersey, was transported to SUNY Upstate for unknown injuries by Mercy Flight, deputies said.
Pawel Lekacz, 26, Queens, NY, was transported to Lewis County General Hospital by Lewis County Search and Rescue for unspecified injuries and was later released, deputies said.
