Lewis County General Hospital Lab opening Lab Draw Room adjacent to ER entrance

LOWVILLE, NY  ─ Lewis County General Hospital (LCGH) is opening a new temporary lab draw room with direct access from the outside without having to enter the main hospital building. This new access point is located between the hospital’s emergency department entrance and the main loading dock.

The new lab draw room will open on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

This new lab draw space will be staffed by a phlebotomist and opened Monday-Friday from 7:00am- 11:00am.

“This new space is a great option for patients that don’t want to come into the hospital to get their lab work,” stated Randy Mullin, LCGH Laboratory Manager.

Patients are required to pre-register through admissions by phone at 315-376-5577. Once registered, the patient should drive directly to the newly designated, private entrance, to have their blood drawn.

“There will be a phone number posted on the outside of the building 315-376-9649 for patients to call when they arrive. A lab staff member will welcome the patient in and complete the blood draw,” Mr. Mullin stated.
