LOWVILLE, NY — Lewis County Health System is pleased to announce that Trista M. Mullin, MBA, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective August 4, 2026. She succeeds Jeffery Hellinger, MBA, who was recently selected as the health system’s next Chief Executive Officer.
“Trista has an excellent understanding of healthcare finance and has demonstrated financial expertise and a strong commitment to our mission of providing outstanding patient care,” stated Jeffery Hellinger, LCHS Chief Financial Officer. “She will support our mission and long-term strategic goals, and I look forward to the continued positive impact she will make in her new leadership role.”
Mrs. Mullin is a lifelong resident of Lewis County and a Beaver River Central School graduate. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Economics and her Master of Business Administration from Oswego State University, Oswego, New York.
Mullin currently serves as Controller, responsible for overseeing finance, purchasing, accounts payable, and materials management. She began her career at the hospital as a staff accountant and, over a twenty-year tenure, has been integral to major initiatives, including the Surgical Pavilion and the Medical-Surgical renovation.
Beyond financial operations and management, Mrs. Mullin has been an active volunteer for many various non-profit community organizations and boards. She is a current member of the Lewis County Hospital Foundation golf and gala committees.
Mrs. Mullin says she is honored to step into the CFO role. “My priority is to keep us fiscally strong, invest in technology and our team, and continue improving access to healthcare for the communities we serve.”
