LOWVILLE, NY —Â Lewis County Public Health is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by the novel coronavirus that was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China and which continues to expand.
While the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to rise in the United States of America and New York State, there are currently NO confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lewis County, NY.
Recommendations for the use of isolation and quarantine are an important component of a multi-layered strategy to prevent sustained spread of COVID-19 in New York State.
To date, Lewis County Public Health reports the following number of quarantines, tests and results for COVID-19 testing and monitoring in Lewis County NY:
