WATERTOWN, NY — The memorial service for Lillian G. Major, 80, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Murray officiating. Burial will follow the service in Military Cemetery, Sackets Harbor.
Calling hours will precede the service at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m.
Lillian passed away Wednesday, April 3, at Samaritan Summit Village.
Born in Theresa April 26, 1938, Lillian was a daughter to Schuyler and Pearl (Davis) Snyder. She was educated locally. Lillian worked as a nurses aide in Watertown until her retirement.
On April 27, 1955, she married Perley E. Major, Sr. Mr. Major passed away Nov. 9, 2012.
Lillian enjoyed bingo, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Robert and Lori Major, Mary and Jack Czerkies, Michelle Countryman and companion Laurence Chiappone; and her grandchildren: Chelsea, Bradley, Toni, Jonathan, Jarred, Jakub, Mary, Michael, Richard Jr., James Jr., Jesse, Jorden, Justin. Also surviving are her siblings: Dora (Ken) Bodah, Ida Vincent, Cathering Hunt, Wilbur Snyder, William Snyder; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Perley, she is predeceased by three children, Perley Jr., David, James, and a brother, Schuyler Jr.
