PIERREPONT MANOR, NY — Lloyd A. Caird, 79, Pierrepont Manor, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020 at the Samaritan Medical Center.
Born May 19, 1941, in Watertown, the son to the late Richard L. and Violet Rose Loucks Caird, he graduated in 1959 from Mannsville Manor Central School.
Lloyd enlisted in the United States Navy in 1967 and received an honorable discharge in 1968. He also was a member of the United States Naval Reserve’s from 1966 to 1972. Lloyd worked for several years at Great Lakes Cheese, Adams retiring as a Supervisor.
Lloyd married Leona (Lee) Kaniecke on Sept. 15, 2001. They lived all of their married life in Pierrepont Manor. Together they enjoyed going camping with friends. In previous years Lloyd was an avid motorcyclist.
He was a member of the Mannsville-Manor Rescue Squad, Belleville Mason and the Mad River Hunting Club.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Leona (Lee), four step-daughters, Beth, Angela, Dana, Christine, sister-in-law Christine Caird and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Rose, and a brother, Clifford.
There will be a graveside service at a date and time to be announced in the spring of 2021.
