CLINTON, NY – The 2022 Hamilton College commencement was celebrated on Sunday, May 22, in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. Among the graduates were eight local students. They were:

Hamilton’s 494 graduates came from 35 states and 13 countries including: Bhutan, Canada, China, Ecuador, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
A capacity crowd heard speeches delivered by LA Clippers President of Operations and Hamilton alumna Gillian Zucker, Soper-Merrill Prize recipient Joel Adade (Worcester, Mass.), and senior-class-nominated speaker Misaki Maya Funada (Kokubunji, Japan).
Honorary degree recipients included Elaine Weiss, a 1973 graduate of Kirkland College and author of The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote; Gail Mellow, former LaGuardia Community College president; and Zucker.
A commencement ceremony for the class of 2020 will be held on Saturday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m., in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. Approximately 70 percent of the class of 500 have confirmed their attendance. Marc Randolph, the co-founder and first CEO of the online movie and television streaming service Netflix and a Hamilton alumnus, will be the speaker.
