WATERTOWN, NY — Lois A. Peckham Goode, 94, of San Diego, CA, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019.
Born July 12, 1924, in Utica, NY, a daughter of Charles A. And Agnes K. Peckham, she was the second oldest of 11 children. The family moved to Watertown in the 1930s. She attended schools in Utica, Watertown and graduated in 1942 from Chaumont High School.
Lois worked several summer for her grandmother at Rocky Point Inn, Inlet, NY.
Following World War II, Lois moved to San Diego, CA, where she graduated from San Diego Community College. She worked for many years in the San Diego school system.
Sh was married for 40 years to Glenn S. Goode. He passed away in October 2011.
Surviving are two sisters, June E. Reason and Mary G. Bibey, both of Watertown; three brothers, Charles J. Peckham, Del Mar, CA, Norman F. Peckham, Dexter, and David A. Peckham, Webster; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Eugene C., John R., Paul F. and Patrick; and a sister, Elva A.
Graveside services will be private.
