Lorraine K. Gardner, 58, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — The memorial service for Lorraine K. Gardner will be held noon Wednesday, July 11, at St. Henry’s Church in Natural Bridge. Burial will follow the service in the Hillside Cemetery.

She was born March 3, 1960, in Carthage, a daughter to William and Gertrude Hickok Gardner.

After serving in the Air Force from 1982 to 1988, Lorraine went to work a chaplain for Hospice, Mayo Clinic and Peace Health in Vancouver. She also worked for Mount Angel Seminary in Washington.

She enjoyed researching the Civil War, shopping, spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was also a published author.

Among her survivors is her ex-husband, Ray Kegbine, Oregon; siblings, Penny (Tom) Fargo, Watertown; Pam (Paul) Bowman, Syracuse; William Gardner, Connecticut; Colleen Schraenkler, Watertown; Maureen (Ellis) Griffin, Florida; Kevin Gardner, Connecticut; Mary (Tom) Bond, Harrisville and several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by her brother David Gardner and sister Bridget Carter.
