WATERTOWN, NY — Louise C. Ballantine, 91, Watertown, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Lewis County Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident since 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.  A spring burial will be held in Brookside Cemetery.
Louise was born in Milford, Maine on Jan. 27, 1930, the daughter to the late Ashley and Bertha Corneil Babb.
Louise was employed for several years at FW Woolworth’s Department Store in Watertown from 1971 until her retirement in 1995. Following her retirement, she worked part time at the Samaritan Medical Center gift shop until 2013.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Robert) Denner, Watertown, and Brenda Harmych, Carthage; a son, Terry Evans; five grandsons, Ryan Denner, Peter Harmych, Jason Evans, Derek Evans, Isaiah Evans; six granddaughters, Haley Denner, Amy Miller, Lori Rucker, Jessica Reed, Amber Kerrigan and Alyssa Evans, two sisters, Coral Dubay and Arlene Russell of Milford, Maine.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Suzanne Kerrigan, her son Edward Evans and her sister Marilyn Pear.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Central New York Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204-1305.
