LOWVILLE, NY — Due to poor ice conditions at the Lowville Ice Rink, the rink will be closed today until further notice. The condition of the ice has deteriorated due to the warm weather and the great amount of use of the rink has received during this past school vacation week. The chiller has been unable to keep up those conditions and due to the warm weather new ice can not be manufactured at this time. The Town/Village Recreation Commission will send out a reopening notice as soon as conditions allow for the ice sheet to be rebuilt for safe skating.
