Lowville man accused of resisting arrest

LOWVILLE, NYDavid A. Gerdon III, of Lowville, was charged by Lowville police at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, with resisting arrest.

“The arrest stems from an incident on May 17 where patrols were executing a bench warrant on Mr. Gerdon when he failed to comply and became aggressive with patrols,” police said.

“Police allege Mr. Gerdon attempted to walk away from patrols after he was advised he was under arrest,” they said.

He allegedly pulled his left arm away from patrols as they were attempting to handcuff him, according to a news release.

He is being held without a bail at the Lewis County Jail on the bench warrant. He is summoned to appear in Lowville Village Court at a later date to answer the resisting arrest charge.
