Lowville man charged with DWI in town of Denmark, deputies say

LOWVILLE, NY  —  Kirk A. Robbins, 52, Lowville, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies at 8:46 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, on State Route 26 in the town of Denmark with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and failure to keep right.

“Robbins reportedly failed to keep right and caused a deputy to swerve of his way while he was traveling northbound on State Route 26,” deputies wrote.

A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. His BAC was 0.16 percent, deputies said.

Robbins is summoned to appear in Denmark Town Court at a later date.
