Lowville woman charged early Wednesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated

LOWVILLE, NY — Krista M. Wenstrom, 36, Lowville, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies at 12:46 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, on Number Four Road in the town of Lowville with aggravated driving while intoxicated and multiple uniform traffic tickets following a traffic stop of a 2019 Toyota Camry she was operating.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.19 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater.

She is summoned to appear in Lowville Town Court at a later date. Deputies were assisted by state police.
