Man facing charges after entering woman’s Watertown home, fighting with another man

WATERTOWN, NYJoseph F. Wilcox, 32, of 23968 White Rd., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at 921 Salina St. with second-degree burglary, a felony, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor, and two counts of second-degree harassment.

He was additionally charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Mr. Wilcox is accused of pushing past Cassandra M. Thomas, 24, to enter her dwelling causing her to fall down as he passed through the front door during a domestic incident at about 12:38 a.m. Wednesday at 921 Salina St., police said.

He allegedly used one hand to squeeze the throat of Daniel I. Siqueiros, 27, Fort Drum, while holding him down causing him “a hard time breathing,” during the same incident, according to court documents.

Mr. Wilcox is also accused of punching and pushing Mr. Siqueiros during a fight in the presence of two 2-year-old boys, police said.

Wilcox arraigned before City Court Judge Eugene R. Renzi who ordered him held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building without bail pending further court action.
