Man accused of choking Watertown woman during domestic incident

WATERTOWN, NYDavid E. Knight, 58, of 125 E. Main St., Apt. 5, Brownville, was charged by Watertown police at 8:21 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the 400 block of Black River Parkway with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment.

He is accused of and applying pressure to the throat of Tracy Almasy, 58, causing her to become dizzy and light headed during a domestic incident at about 7:55 p.m. Thursday at 114 High St., Apt. 2, according to court documents. He also allegedly grabbed her arms during the incident, police said.

Mr. Knight left the scene in a Yellow Cab which was stopped minutes later on Black River Parkway.

He was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
