Man accused of violating order of protection, Watertown police say

WATERTOWN, NY —  Edward J. Blake, 36, of 22971 US Route 11, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 120 Charles St. with second-degree criminal contempt.

Mr. Blake is accused of violating the terms of a stay-away order of protection when he “intentionally went to the residence of the protected party, Michelle Leone, 35, knocked on the doors and remain insider with her,” at about 7:17 p.m. Wednesday, according to court documents. “The order of protection was issued by Pamelia Town Court on Oct. 28, 2019, and was served to Blake in court,” police said.

He was being held pending arraignment Thursday morning in City Court.
