WATERTOWN, NY — Marlon T. Whitfield, Sr., 44, of 113 Public Square, Apt. 4, Black River, was charged by Watertown police at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at 305 Creekwood Dr., with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
He is accused of applying pressure to the throat of Jessica L. Lanning, 45, when he grabbed her throat with his hands and squeezed during a domestic incident at about 10:13 p.m. Wednesday, according to court documents.
He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Wednesday morning in City Court.
