Man choked woman, police say

WATERTOWN, NYMichael N. Dekin, 50, of 624 Factory St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 11:11 p.m. Friday, July 27, at 624 Factory St. with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Dekin is accused of placing both his hands around the neck of Jennifer A. Piche, 49, and applied pressure causing her to be unable to breath at about 10:01 p.m. Friday, July 27, at 624 Factory St., Apt. 2, according to court documents. Police said the incident left a visible red mark on her neck. He also allegedly shoved Ms. Piche with both of his hands causing her to fall against a wall, police said.

He was being held pending arraignment Saturday morning in City Court.
